Are You Ready to Take the Quantum Leap? You've heard the story about fleas being trained to jump only high enough that they don't get their heads bashed by the jar lid and become so conditioned that they no longer can jump any higher even though they could jump much higher before they were put into the confining jar. We humans are conditioned to jump only so high to avoid getting our heads bashed in as well. The bright little girl learns to be only as smart as her older brother so that Mother doesn't bash her head in for showing up her golden boy brother. The efficient clerk learns to make their tasks fill their work day so they don't get piled high with their inept supervisor's obligations. The discouraged dreamer settles for TV and a beer instead of pursuing their dreams. You get the idea. The person who can jump highest is often punished rather than rewarded for their success. Soon the lesser result becomes the standard. We forget that we can do better. Time passes, circumstances change and the lid is finally off the jar, but most of us forget that we can jump right out of our confinement and into a brave new world. Can you take the quantum leap into the unknown or are you stuck in your limitations? What would your life look like if you took the lid off and let yourself fly?
